Cut from 100% Sea Island cotton, this shirt takes something traditionally casual and gives it a different feel. The fabric is softer, smoother, and lighter against the skin than a standard terry cloth shirt. It has a hand that leans closer to silk than standard cotton.
Towel shirts first showed up in the 1950s under names like cabana shirts and beach coats. They were made for that stretch of time between the water and everything after. Thrown on sunburnt shoulders, worn barefoot, stretched out on a lounge chair or riding back in from the water. This one keeps that same intention. Easy to put on, hard to take off.
Finished with corozo buttons and an American-made chain stitch patch at the breast pocket, it’s built with three pockets in total. One sits ready for a pair of sunglasses, the others for a small book, a pack of matches, and your preferred smokes.
